47 Ronin - Full-Length Trailer And New Movie Poster

Reported by Outsiders - 2013.10.28

Hoping to catch a 3D audience this Christmas, Universal has released a full-length trailer for their new samurai action flick "47 Ronin" starring Keanu Reeves as a former samurai warrior who gets called by his forgotten band of brotherhood to help them seek revenge on the wicked warlord that murdered their master. This new preview (above) starts with some additional footage of Hiroyuki Sanada (The Last Samurai) searching the local pirating ports for Kai (Reeves) who is now forced to use his samurai skills as a underground fighter.

After a treacherous warlord kills their master and banishes their kind, 47 leaderless samurai vow to seek vengeance and restore honor to their people. Driven from their homes and dispersed across the land, this band of Ronin must seek the help of Kai (Reeves)—a half-breed they once rejected—as they fight their way across a savage world of mythic beasts, shape-shifting witchcraft and wondrous terrors. As this exiled, enslaved outcast becomes their most deadly weapon, he will transform into the hero who inspires this band of outnumbered rebels to seize eternity.

47 Ronin stars Keanu Reeves, Hiroyuki Sanada, Ko Shibasaki, Tadanobu Asano, Rinko Kikuchi

Release: December 25th, 2013
