Gerald Butler & Vin Diesel In Talks With Nu Image About 'Kane & Lynch' Adaptation

Reported by Outsiders - 2013.11.05

It looks like Nu Image/Millennium Films is going to try again with 'Kane & Lynch' but instead star Gerald Butler and Vin Diesel. The movie adaptation of the video game has been in the works since 2007, with Lionsgate planning on stars Bruce Willis and Jamie Foxx, and Simon Crane directing. That idea got as far as a teaser poster with a 'coming in 2011' release date. This updated version now has Gerald Butler in talks to star as Kane, with F. Gary Gray on board to direct from a script by Skip Woods and Kyle Ward. Millennium has an offer out to Vin Diesel to play Lynch, but it's too early to say how that will go.

The game follows 'Kane, a death row inmate who, along with a schizophrenic killer named Lynch, is sprung from prison to retrieve a stolen fortune. Kane travels to Los Angeles, Japan and Cuba, with Lynch acting as the team's watchdog in order to save his wife and daughter.' The game was developed by IO Interactive and published by Eidos Interactive.
