FOX Closing Deals To Remake Agatha Christie' 'Murder On The Orient Express'

Reported by Outsiders - 2013.12.13

Variety is reporting that Fox has been closing deals to do a remake of Sidney Lumet’s 1974 detective drama “Murder on the Orient Express” with Ridley Scott, Mark Gordon and Simon Kinberg on board to produce.

“Murder on the Orient Express,” based on the 1934 novel by Agatha Christie, starred Albert Finney as the genius Belgian detective Hercule Poirot investigating the murder of an American tycoon aboard the train. The book was adapted again for a 2001 TV version that aired on CBS and starred Alfred Molina and Leslie Caron.

Ridley Scott is not directing and no writers have been hired yet.
