No Indiana Jones Movie For At Least 2 Years, But A New Star Wars Movie Every Year Starting In 2015

Reported by Jay Cochran - 04:10 PM 2013.12.13
Variety is reporting that Disney plans on releasing a new Star Wars squeal or spin-off film every year starting in 2015. They also report that Disney will not release a new Indiana Jones movie for at least two to three years.

“We haven’t done anything,” said Alan Horn, chairman of the Walt Disney Studios while speaking at Variety‘s Dealmakers Breakfast at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills on Friday. “We don’t have a story. We need a story.”

Horn went on to talk about how they didn't want to start working on a new Indiana Jones movie until they fully owned the rights to upcoming films which was recently announced they now do.

“It didn’t make sense to produce the movie at Disney and then have it be distributed and marketed by Paramount,” Horn said.
