Need For Speed - Featurette

Reported by Outsiders - 2014.01.08

Do you have the "Need for Speed"? Well, good news: Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul and "Act of Valor" director Scott Waugh may have created the perfect movie for ya!

Based on EA's bestselling video game, Paul stars as a freshly-released jailbird who is sucked into an underground cross-country race, where he hopes to settle the score with the man responsible for his two-year imprisonment: his back-stabbing ex-partner, played by British actor Dominic Cooper (star of the upcoming BBC bio-pic miniseries "Fleming").

In the newest featurette for the street-racing revenge thriller, the director and his cast (including Paul, Cooper, Imogen Poots, Kid Cudi and Dakota Johnson) affirm their goal was to give movie audiences a heart-pounding thrill ride, which required an impressive collection of souped-up cars and a number of authentic stunt crashes. "The wrecks you're going to see, and the speeds that we travel -- it's all in-camera," director Scott Waugh vows in the clip.

Framed for a crime he didnít commit, muscle car mechanic and street racer Tobey (Aaron Paul) gets out of prison determined to settle the score with the man responsible for his false conviction. Tobey tears up the road in a gritty cross-country journey -- one that begins as a mission for revenge, but proves to be one of redemption.

Need For Speed stars Aaron Paul, Dominic Cooper, Imogen Poots, Michael Keaton, Nick Chinlund, Dakota Johnson, Rami Malek, Ramon Rodriguez, Kid Cudi, Scott Mescudi

Release: March 14th, 2014
