New Amazing Spider-Man 2 International Trailer & Poster That Pays Tribute To Issue #121

Reported by Jay Cochran - 2014.04.08

Sony has released a new International trailer and poster for Amazing Spider-Man 2 which will open in UK theaters on April 16.

The new poster pays tribute to Amazing Spider-Man issue #121 from Marvel Comics. That issue kicked off a story-arc where Green Goblin ends up capturing Spider-Man's girlfriend Gwen Stacy and drops her off the top of the Brooklyn Bridge resulting in the characters death. Does this foreshadow the characters fate in the movie???

It's great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there's no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hits theaters on May 2nd and stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Paul Giamatti, Dane DeHaan, Felicity Jones, Chris Cooper, Sally Field, Campbell Scott, Embeth Davidtz, Colm Feore
