Playing board games can be fun. Unless, you're using the board to communicate with a dead friend who recently crossed over to the other side. If that's the case, board games are not only scary, but also dangerous. And that seems to be the jumping off point for "Ouija," the latest hair-raising feature from Stiles White and Juliet Snowden, the screenwriting duo behind the supernatural flicks "The Possession," "Knowing" and "Boogeyman."
The upcoming Hasbro-produced film, in which White makes his directorial debut, follows a group of friends (with an old creepy Ouija board) as they carelessly attempt to contact the spirit of their newly-deceased friend. They soon wind up with more than they bargained for when malicious spirits answer their call.
Billed as "from the producers of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Insidious," "Ouija" stars Olivia Cooke, Daren Kagasoff, Douglas Smith, Bianca Santos, and Ana Coto. Naturally, it's slated to open on Halloween, October 31st. In the meantime, check out the trailer, above.
