The thing about paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren is that they weren't just famous for investigating one poltergeist case. This renowned husband-and-wife team, whose storied career in ghost hunting inspired the 2013 horror smash hit "The Conjuring," had been involved with many well-documented paranormal investigations. Some even included cases outside of America -- which brings us to the upcoming sequel "The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist."
In the just-released teaser trailer (watch it above), we see Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga have returned to reprise their roles as the famed married demonologists who, this time, have traveled to North London, England to research an unusual poltergeist incident in 1977 -- which is six years after the events of the first movie.
Known today as "The Enfield Poltergeist," the case entailed a single mother named Peggy Hodgson -- portrayed by Frances O'Connor (Mr. Selfridge, A.I. Artificial Intelligence) -- who claimed to have witnessed her four children (mainly her two young daughters) being targeted by a malignant entity.
The Conjuring 2 stars Patrick Wilson, Vera Farmiga, Frances O'Connor, Lauren Esposito, Simon McBurney, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Abhi Sinha
