Tom Cruise News: War Of The Worlds & Mission Impossible IIII

The planned world premiere in Japan of director Steven Spielberg's War of the Worlds has been canceled because of concerns about providing security for Tom Cruise and other stars and preventing bootleg recording of the film, reports the Associated Press.
The anticipated film, a contemporary retelling of H.G. Wells's seminal classic, was set to debut at Tokyo's Budokan arena on June 13, more than two weeks before its June 29 global release. Apparently Tom Cruise's oddball behavior during the promotion of his next film, War of the Worlds, has executives at Paramount reconsidering moving ahead with Mission: Impossible 3...Cruise's growing support of Scientology and his gushing over his love for new girlfriend Katie Holmes (May 23s edition of Oprah) have the higher ups thinking twice.
