Fox has ordered three additional scripts from sophomore drama "Lie to Me."
Because the show was a midseason replacement, the crime procedural, which launched behind "American Idol," received a 13-episode second-season pickup.

Sebastian Roche has been added to the cast of Fox's "Fringe" as a recurring, playing a new villain on the sci-fi series.
Details of Roche's story line are being kept under wraps, but his character is a soldier from another dimension who is not quite human/not quite machine, trying to gather information for opening a stable door to the other side.
He replaces Thomas Kretschmann, who was originally cast as the super-spy and appeared in the Oct. 8 episode but couldn't recur because of a scheduling conflict.

Sources confirm to Ausiello that Fox has decided to pull "Dollhouse" off the schedule during November sweeps. Joss Whedon’s ratings-challenged drama is expected to return in December and air back-to-back episodes on Friday night.
Bottom line: Barring a ratings miracle, Dollhouse will be shut down for good after it completes its current 13-episode order.

Joss Whedon has agreed to direct one of the back nine episodes of "Glee" that Fox just ordered.
The genius who gave us not only the “Once More, With Feeling” musical episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer but also Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog is a big fan of Ryan Murphy’s new phenom. So when Twentieth (the studio behind Glee) approached him about the gig, pretty much his only reservation was scheduling.
“Joss directed one of the great musical episodes in the history of television on Buffy,” gushes Murphy, “so this is a great, if unexpected, fit. I’m thrilled he’ll be loaning us his fantastic groundbreaking talent.”
