HBO's Game Of Thrones - 'Long Story Short' Featurette

Reported by Outsiders - 2014.03.15

What if Wes Anderson created a behind-the-scenes featurette for HBO's hit fantasy series "Game of Thrones"? It would probably look a lot like this new video.

Check out "Long Story Short," a five-minute "Game of Thrones" featurette that takes a whimsical look at how executive producers/writers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss were able to get the HBO project off the ground. It was a three-year journey for the television newbies, which started with convincing author George R.R. Martin that they were right for the job and would faithfully adapt his best-selling fantasy books, even though Martin had said his story was "unfilmable."

Charles Dance (Tywin Lannister) narrates the above preview.

Summers span decades. Winters can last a lifetime. And the struggle for the Iron Throne has begun. It will stretch from the south, where heat breeds plots, lust and intrigues; to the vast and savage eastern lands; all the way to the frozen north, where an 800-foot wall of ice protects the kingdom from the dark forces that lie beyond. Kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars, lords and honest men ... all will play the "Game of Thrones."

Game Of Thrones stars Peter Dinklage, Emilia Clarke, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Lena Headey, Jack Gleeson, Kit Harington, Richard Madden, Maisie Williams, Charles Dance, and more

Release: April 6th, 2014 (on HBO)
