Was Walter White's sleazy criminal lawyer, Saul Goodman, always a crooked little weasel? Sadly, that answer will have to wait, at least for now as this quick 10-second teaser for "Breaking Bad" spin-off series "Better Call Saul" is only offering a brisk peek at comedian Bob Odenkirk as a pre-Walter White Saul Goodman, a.k.a. Albuquerque's favorite two-bit attorney-at-law.
While the clip (titled "Saul Solicits New Clients") stops short of revealing too much, it does, however, provide fans the show's forthcoming premiere date ... or rather month: February of 2015. That's right. Six months from now, fans will see how life was like before Saul met Walter. Though the question that lingers in our minds is "will the new series actually show how Saul met Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul)?"
Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad, set six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) became Walter White's lawyer. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and often against, Jimmy is "fixer" Mike Erhmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy's transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts "criminal" in "criminal lawyer."
Better Call Saul stars Bob Odenkirk, Jonathan Banks, Michael McKean, Rhea Seehorn, Patrick Fabian, Michael Mando
