SDCC 2012: ParaNorman - Comic-Con Featurette
Reported by Outsiders - 10:06 PM 2012.07.13

According to this new featurette, which was shown at Comic Con, we learn that the filmmakers behind the 3D stop-motion feature "ParaNorman" are just as strange and weird as the film's concept. And you know, frankly, we wouldn't want it any other way: to have a bunch of self-described "non-conformists" to make a seemingly unorthodox supernatural animated comedy which features hordes of zombies and an uncanny kid who can see and talk to the dead, it's like a match made in misfit heaven. Take a look, and be prepared to root for the geeky dreamers as they create a film that we hope lives up to its potential. "ParaNorman" opens in theaters on August 17th.

In "ParaNorman," a small town comes under siege by zombies. Who can it call? Only misunderstood local boy Norman (voiced by Kodi Smit-McPhee), who is able to speak with the dead. In addition to the zombies, he'll have to take on ghosts, witches and, worst, of all, grown-ups, to save his town from a centuries-old curse. But this young ghoul whisperer may find his paranormal activities pushed to their otherworldly limits.

ParaNorman stars the voices of Kodi Smit-McPhee, Casey Affleck, Anna Kendrick, John Goodman, Leslie Mann, Jeff Garlin, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Elaine Strich, Tempestt Bledsoe, Bernard Hill, Alex Borstein, Tucker Albrizzi

Release: August 17th, 2012
