The Hunger Games: Catching Fire - Full-Length Trailer

Reported by Outsiders - 06:49 PM 2013.07.20

Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark may have been crowned the winners of the 74th annual Hunger Games, but that doesn't mean their fighting days are behind them. The brand-new full-length trailer for "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," which premiered moments ago at this weekend's San Diego Comic-Con, offers another exciting peek at the second chapter of the popular movie franchise (based on Suzanne Collins best-selling books), which this time asks what happens when past champions are forced to kill one another.

With a new director, Francis Lawrence (Water for Elephants, I Am Legend), at the helm, and newly-minted Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence back as everyone's favorite arrow-flinging heroine, "Catching Fire" is looking to keep the odds in their favor. The film, which also stars Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, Donald Sutherland, Stanley Tucci and Philip Seymour Hoffman (as the new Head Gamemaker Plutarch), will be hitting theaters on November 22nd.

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a "Victor's Tour" of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) -- a competition that could change Panem forever.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Liam Hemsworth, Willow Shields, Sam Claflin, Jena Malone, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, Donald Sutherland, Stanley Tucci, Toby Jones, Jeffrey Wright, Amanda Plummer

Release: November 22nd, 2013
