Disney Assumes Control Of Indiana Jones

Reported by Jay Cochran - 2013.12.06

In what should really be no surprise, THR reports that Disney who purchased Lucasfilms from George Lucas for 4.06 billion dollars late last year will be taking over the Indian Jones film franchise from Paramount Pictures.

Paramount will retains rights to the first four films and will receive some financial participation for any future films that are made. This deal clears the way for new movies to be made by Disney though there has been no official announcements yet for a fifth film.
