Scott Bakula Guest-Stars On "NCIS" For A 2-Part "NCIS: New Orleans" In-Series Pilot

Reported by Jay Cochran - 2014.03.13

We told back in February how Scott Bakula (Quantum Leap, Enterprise) was joining the cast for a new NCIS spin-off show called NCIS: New Orleans.

Well now it looks like that new spin-off is going to make it's debut with an in-series pilot on the show which stars Mark Harmon as Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs. Harmon is also one of the Executive Producers along with Gary Glasberg for the new NCIS: New Orleans series . The two-part storyline which will see Bakula and Harmon's characters come together is set to debut on CBS, March 25 and April 1, 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Bakula will be playing the new shows lead character as Special Agent Pride, who is the head of the New Orleans branch office of NCIS. In the 2-part episodes on NCIS, the agents come together to investigate the killing of North Carolina congressman Dan McLane, a former agent in NCIS forerunner NIS, who is found dead in New Orleans. He was part of the "Fed 5," a five-member NIS team in the early '90s that included Gibbs and Pride as "probies".
