Today, Lionsgate released its third Marvel Animated Feature on DVD, The Invincible Iron Man. Millionaire Playboy and scientific inventor Tony Stark, with the help of friend James Rhodes, is attempting to raise an ancient city in China. Standing in his way is a fanatical cult and the Stark Enterprises Board of Directors, who thinks he is wasting the company's time and money. What Stark doesn't know is that successfully raising the city will unleash an ancient evil in the form of the Madarin and his horde of elemental demons. Fortunately for Stark and world, his attention is divided between his efforts to raise the city and a top-secret project to create ultra hi-tech suits of armor.
Overall the movie is enjoyable, though the climactic battle at the end was a bit lackluster. The animation is very nice, and the actor voicing Tony Stark/Iron Man does a very good job of portraying the comic character he represents. The character is voiced by Marc Warden, the same person that did the Iron Man voice in the Ultimate Avengers animated features.
