Gravity Into Oblivion

Cleveland Ohio is definitely the heart of Rock N Roll, but also some great Progressive Rock roots have been established there. As such the great city by the lake is lucky enough to have probably one of the best upcoming Prog-Rock acts around! Gravity, A quartet with only a few years under their belt (and all being under 20 years of age) are producing Progressive Rock just like the Pros when they get to their mid career high points!

Recently Gravity released their first full length CD featuring 12 amazing, groundbreaking songs!

I was fortunate enough to get a copy of this CD recently and there is simply no words that can provide you with the explanation on how amazing the music is, how technically proficient these kids are, and how uplifting and invigorating the song will be to your eardrums. Into Oblivion includes several new tracks, and new versions of their songs featured on there previous LP ‘Visions Within’. The boys have horned their skills, polishing their tunes to make this a complete well-rounded trip around the sun within a musical fantasy that is simply unbelievable!

This all being said this is all instrumental, but beyond that the songs are catchy, easy to grab and just plain fun to listen to. Some of the bands that inspired their progressive music can’t even play this well anymore. Listening to the CD, each song has a distinct feel of a particular band that will make you think ‘Oh that sounds like Yes, now that sounds like Genesis, Dream Theater etc…’ Yet the entire album is completely individualistic with a feel all its own. It’s a combined style of everything progressive and it doesn’t come off as generic attempt. Once again, the professionalism of these young adults is breathtaking and astounding. You simply won’t be able to get these songs out of your head, and the CD will never leave your tray in your car

Gravity is the future of what music can be, as I see more and more of the younger generation striving for music that is beyond that standard radio pop trash. To see this amazing works of art come out of these very talented individuals, it just a relief for all the progressive musical aficionados out there. With this amazing ability at such a head start at the race, we can expect much more to come from these four in the future.

If you get a chance grab their latest CD from gravity-store.com and enjoy the journey into the mind!
