Battlefield: Bad Company 2

Reviewed by Breaker - Wed September 29, 2010

Why haven't you been playing this game yet? If you like military shooters then you owe it to yourself to lock n' load and roll out with Bad Company in this highly anticipated sequel. The battlefield's are bigger, the firefights more fierce and the armaments more explosive. If you want a military shooter that puts Modern Warfare to shame, then pick this one up.

Single player is back with the guys from Bad Company and it suffers my only complaint: where is the funny? Theres not nearly as much. And the comedy is part of what made me love the first game.

The game's shining moments however are in the vamped up multiplayer. I couldn't tell you how many hours I dumped into this thing. Gunplay is tight, vehicular controls aren't infuriating with the possible exception of helicopters which require some practice. Having larger then normal teams, a variety of kits and weapons to choose from really makes every battle unique. The carnage is breathtaking and the dynamic backgrounds in which these wars are fought are fantastically detailed.

So stop playing that relic Modern Warfare, and go get Bad Company. You'll never have to worry about random grenades again...

I give Bad Company 2 a 4.5 out of 5. It is rated M for Mature and is brought to you by the people at DICE.
