NBC Gives Knight Rider The Ax?

Contrary to earlier reports, word on the street now is that NBC has given the ax to Knight Rider, and will be ending the series with a total of only 18 epsidoes. NBC has not officially confirmed but it doesn't look good for fans of the show.
